GAYA Sangha Social is a monthly forum to create fellowship, foster education, and to build a strong community of yoga teachers in the Asheville area. Discussions will be fun and lighthearted yet relevant to the challenges, lessons and joys of being a yoga teacher. GAYA Sangha Social is also a great opportunity to socialize and network with other yoga teachers for mutual support, prosperity and overall well-being.
We will be meeting the 1st Monday evening of each month (except for holidays) at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge (upstairs room), 10 South Lexington Avenue, at 7:30pm.
Monday May 2nd: Sustaining your energy: your practice vs the practice for your students
Monday June 6th: Finding your students: the business of yoga in a saturated market
Monday July 18th: Creative Techniques for teaching: Sequencing, adjusting, and integration of deeper practices

A Day of Yoga and Healing A Day of Yoga and HealingSaturday April 16th 8:30am to 7pm Come spend a fun filled day of yoga, relaxation and healing at the Laughing Waters Retreat Center, a holistic and sustainable retreat center on 230 acres of forever wild forest, just 16 miles southeast of Asheville. $25 admission includes all yoga classes, workshops, music and hiking. Lunch will be available for purchase from Green Light Cafe. Chair massage will be available for $1/minute. All profits from this event will benefit The Greater Asheville Yoga Association. GAYA Sangha Social - Oct. 8th
We are gathering again! Please come to our Sangha Social potluck on Friday Oct. 8th at 7:00pm. Come and socialize with fellow yoga teachers and bring a veggie dish to share. We will have a brief update on GAYA and we will have a vote between watching one of two yoga movies (Living Yoga or Titans of Yoga).

GAYA Event Planning Meeting 1/21If you are interested in becoming more involved with The Greater Asheville Yoga Association (GAYA) then please come to our Event Planning Meeting Thursday Jan. 21st at 7:30p.
We will be discussing and planning GAYA events for the next several months. If you want to participate with planning, visioning and helping run events to serve Asheville's yoga community please come! If you can't make the meeting but still want to help please let us know too.

GAYA Food & Coat Drive - Dec. 13th
The GREATER ASHEVILLE YOGA ASSOCIATION's December Sangha Social is bringing together area yoga teachers to do a little noshing, socializing and Seva. What a great way to spend a Sunday morning!

Come by West Asheville Yoga Center December 13th around 11:00. There will be yummy Chai and munchies, some on-going Kirtan you may want to join, and lots of your favorite yogis and yoginis to catch up with. Bring some food and/or a coat to donate to area organizations who help bring a little more comfort to those in need this holiday season. Look forward to seeing you there!
